In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, The Legal Aid Society has made the difficult decision to not hold our 43rd Annual Servant of Justice Awards Dinner. We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to our honorees, Eric J. Friedman of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and BNY Mellon, as well as to our community of supporters for their understanding and commitment.

We believe this is the appropriate action to take in order to best protect the health and safety of our supporters and staff.

The annual Servant of Justice Awards Dinner is the sole fundraising benefit of the year in support of our Civil Practice which relies on the generosity of New York City’s leading law firms and corporations and other private institutions and individuals. We are very grateful for the decades of support of these institutions and for their commitment to the vulnerable individuals and families of New York City.
