On Monday, April 9th, The Legal Aid Society, in keeping with tradition of recognizing the contributions made by our female employees and our community, hosted an event titled, Women Working for Change.

We were proud to welcome the following speakers:

Aisha Lewis McCoy, Staff attorney from the Criminal Defense Practice; Sabrina Talukder, Staff Attorney from the Civil Practice; and Lisa Farray, Administrator from the  Human Resources Department. Our speakers discussed their work within The Legal Aid Society and how it impacts our female clients and employees.

Gladys Carrion, former Commissioner of the New York City Administration for Children’s Services and nationally recognized advocate for juvenile justice reform opened up this fantastic program.
